Far cry 2 gun jam5/3/2023 Taking cover behind a destroyed vehicle or trees will provide cover, as you can peek to the side and take down your enemies who are a medium distance away. Charging in with the SVD is surprisingly effective. Entering an outpost with a sniper may be intimidating at first, but don’t fear. My recommended tactic for this weapon, would to be good old fashioned attacks. Missing the chest or head is not a problem when you can nearly instantly snap back on target and fire again. Even with this negative, it still is a very effective weapon. A shot to the upper chest and head will result in an instant kill, a shot to the stomach will lead to an incapacitation, and a shot to the legs and feet will cause an injury. This lightweight rifle with ease of use comes at a price however. You will have to expel 40 rounds before the rifle begins to jam severely. Reload time is fast, being 3 seconds, makes this begging for assaults. This comes to the conclusion that the SVD is very iffy as a long ranged killer, but rather an aggressive rushing rifle. The zoom through the scope is medium length also, making it ideal for more medium range battles. This makes the SVD specialized for aggressive assaults. In Far Cry 2, the SVD has a capacity of 10 rounds, making it the sniper with the fastest sustained fire. The SVD is a semi-automatic sniper, meaning you can pull the trigger without loading your next shot, giving the SVD a decent fire rate. The SVD costs 20 diamonds, which is a heavy investment seeing how the M1903 was a mere 5. In game: The SVD Dragonuv is the second Sniper Rifle unlocked in the game, after destroying the fourth convoy in the gun shops mission. The Verdict: A passable rifle for the start of the game, but its weaknesses shadows its strengths. ![]() However, it is an excellent weapon to use early in the game. Overall: The M1903 is a very slow rifle, with high damage, but with its very low capacity and fire rate, I would not recommend keeping this after you unlock the SVD or other powerful weapons. ![]() Another tactic, if you would rather go loud than use your pistol, would be to incapacitate your enemy, and as there campmates investigate the area, your RPG will blow them away with ease and precision, leaving you victorious to loot the camp. This Russian monster can cause havoc for your foes. My heavy weapon recommendation would be the RPG-7. This is excellent if you were to incapacitate an enemy, and finish him off quickly with your Star 45. This Spanish pistol is arguably a less powerful Desert Eagle, as it retains a 3 shot kill to the upper body at medium range, with semi decent accuracy. My recommended side arm, would be the STAR 45. Although being a good distance away is almost needed for all the snipers, for the M1903 it is mostly required due to the overall slow handling. A cliff overlooking the area or a large field would be my choice. My recommended tactic with this weapon, would to find your target area, and stay a good distance away. A shot to the legs, arms, or stomach will incapacitate your enemy, giving you time to flee or switch to your heavy or sidearm to finish him off, along with other surrounding enemies. The M1903 is always a one shot kill to the chest, neck, and head. The M1903 is a very sluggish weapon, but it pays with its high damage. The bolt which chambers the next round gets stuck, and your character has to push it into place. After 20 shots have been used, the gun will begin to wear out and jam. The M1903 has reliability issues on top of this also. Reload time is medium, which is actually very helpful with its need to reload with such a low capacity. It has a capacity of 5 rounds, which is not too bad seeing your fire rate. This can be detrimental to your mission/assassination success because of this. The M1903 is a bolt action sniper rifle, meaning your character will have to individually pull it back to re-chamber the next shot. ![]() It is unlocked as the tutorial ends, so you do not require a convoy gun mission to acquire. In game: The M1903 is the first sniper rifle available for purchase in Far Cry 2, being available for a cheap 10 diamonds (easily obtained from scavenging for briefcases around the map or doing the main story missions). First developed in: United States of America
